Australia is providing long term and effective assistance to Solomon Islands in line with the Partnership for Development to reduce poverty and improve progress towards the Millennium Development Goals.
Mutually agreed Partnership Priorities are:
- Improved service delivery in health and education – to improve access and quality.
- Improved justice services – to strengthen the legal system and increase access to justice for Solomon Islanders.
- Broad based economic growth – to improve household incomes and food security through more productive and sustainable use of agricultural land, and better access to economic infrastructure.
- Improved governance – to strengthen economic management, public administration and election management.
